What do you think this EBIKE VLOG #6 – Road Trip After Interbike! Zion, Moab and Colorado video?
After Interbike 2016 finished up, Mony and I hopped in the car and drove through Zion to stay at an AirBB called Golden Haven Ranch. We had a couple of cute city style ebikes with us called Yunbike from Surface 604 but didn’t end up riding them.
While walking around the ranch we reminisced about our time in Las Vegas spending over $60 per meal while downtown… for pretty bland food. As the event went on we discovered Sushi Hiro and Taco Y Taco which were WAY better… Highly recommend. Anyway, one of my favorite parts of the ranch was the apple, pear and plum orchard. The owners let us take as much fruit as we wanted and it was very yummy! Apparently the ranch is ~87 acres and it’s nestled right down in this beautiful valley. Later on we were chased by a friendly turkey who made some cute noises. Later I helped Barry fix his tractor trailer… On the way out we stopped for a moment to take some pictures of the horses.
The next part of our adventure was exploring some sand cave slot canyons that were past some private property… I called in advance to get permission and then we had to cross a stream to get back to the hiking area. We made sure to be extra careful to check the weather because flash floods can happen and people can also get lost and cold at night. we made it into the slot and climbed around, trying to steer clear of mud and steep drops. Eventually we finished our exploration and began back. As we were headed back (using a different route) we found an awesome pond with a rope bridge and rope swing on the tree! It was really awesome to explore XD
After all of the fun hikes and adventures it was time to press on and Mony found an excellent taco spot in Green River. An old gas station that had been converted into an eatery… That’s where we met Julie, a full time RV person who surfs, kayaks and had never tried an electric bike. She tried our Yunbikes which were on loan from Surface 604 and she liked the ergonomic grips a lot. She enjoys hiking so when we asked about ebikes and how she might use them. One idea she had was to store the bike below the RV in the storage compartments. These smaller ebikes would fit, maybe full sized ones with removable wheels could work as well? The taco shack was called La Pasadita by the way, in Green River.
